Lisa J. Whaley
Founder and President
Life Work Synergy, LLC
|
Lisa J. Whaley had a successful 22-year career with IBM and
held a wide variety of positions in mid-level and executive-level
management.
As a woman who appeared to "have it all", she
found herself in the "perfect storm of life" a few
years ago. Suddenly, as a person who had previously been perceived
as having the epitome of a perfect life, she watched it unravel
before her eyes. Life and work had become totally out of "harmony"
and after doing some deep soul searching, Ms. Whaley decided
to take the necessary actions and to do the hard work to reclaim
her spirit, her family and put her life back in order.
Using a very practical and disciplined approach, she found
that she not only regained harmony and synergy back in her
life and work, but she found total fulfillment and happiness
in all dimensions of her life — physically, emotionally
and spiritually.
Ms. Whaley founded Life Work Synergy because she became
truly passionate about helping others, for she believes through
sharing one's own experiences it helps others to grow and
become stronger beings.
Ms. Whaley is the author of Reclaiming
My Soul From The Lost And Found, a candid story about
her life, her perspective as a woman trying to have it all
- all at the same time, and practically losing everything
in the process. She describes how she came crashing down from
incredible heights and found the strength to lift herself
back up, finding genuine peace and serenity in her personal
and professional lives. Her latest book, Prisoners
of Technology - Time to get UNPLUGGED, is a sometimes
humorous, sometimes controversial, always revealing look at
the hold technology has on our lives and what we need to do
to regain control. She is a contributing author to Share
Your Mission - The Personal Thoughts of Twelve Great Americans
and Chicken Soup for the African American
Woman's Soul.
Ms. Whaley holds a BS degree in Business Management from
Hampton University. She is a graduate of executive leadership
symposiums from Harvard University and The Anderson Graduate
School of Management at UCLA. She was recognized in 2005 as
a "Women Who Makes A Difference in Business" by Minorities
and Women in Business Magazine and was selected in
2006 as a "Woman of Excellence" by NAFE
Magazine. She is a highly sought-after work/life expert,
speaker, corporate trainer, executive coach, and business
consultant.
Ms. Whaley is active in the community and mentors youth
at risk. She has an extensive list of Fortune 500 companies
and is living her dream and passion of making a difference
in other people's lives and careers.
